The Broward
County Crime Commission feels that it has a fiduciary responsibility as a Crime
Commission to properly assess the relationships and variances of how economics
relates to crime and law enforcement.
This includes but is not limited to:
1) the cost to society for committed crimes; 2) the
effect on crime during different cycles of the economy; 4) the effect on public
safety to properly fight crime during different budget cuts; and 3) the effect
on crime within different socio-economic communities.
