The Crime
Commission is exploring initiatives to offer Criminal Justice academic
education to middle and high shool students.
The Crime Commission feels that this will be beneficial to the community
on several fronts:
1. It will offer young teenage students an
opportunity to explore and be prepared for another career field upon graduation
from high school.
2. It will give a presence to the respective
schools offering the curriculums, as other kids in the school will be aware of
the cadets. This in turn, could reduce
crime within middle and high schools.
3. It will allow a potential trough of
homegrown recruits to fill future human resources issues for law enforcement
personnel.
